Do women find men in their late teens more attractive on a cruiser or on a crotch rocket?

I’m debating between getting a Suzuki GSX-R and a Honda Goldwing – both look great in my opinion and I love riding both but I’d like to know what girls think is attractive for a man to be riding. Thanks.

If it makes a difference, I’m almost 18. Thanks again.

Sorry, but girls don’t find guys at 18 particularly attractive at all – based on what they ride. They’ll find you attractive by your good looks, you’re smile, your attention to them, your presence, your grooming, you’re physique and you’re ability to communicate to them.

Only the most superficial chicki-babes are going to find you attractive by your bike. And even less than a tiny % are going to find your choice of bike between the two makes a big difference. So my sage advice (I’m over 40) is go with what you want, and the girls will find you attractive for who you are and what you will become.

Girls, does this hairstyle look good on dark haired guys?

"Bond cut" on a young man?

Posted by admin on December 30th, 2009 and filed under young gallery | 4 Comments »

Hi,

I’m a 20 year old Swede with thick, dark hair who’s getting a cut in two days. Now I’ve been thinking about getting the same cut as Pierce Bronsnan has in this picture:

I have an oval face so I can pull of most cuts and still look good. I like this cut because it looks sophisticated and quite esay to maintance, but do you feel it might look redicilious on a 20-year old young man?

What’s the difference between art in galleries and art you can purchase online?

Posted by admin on December 30th, 2009 and filed under galleries | 2 Comments »

I want to buy an Andy Warhol piece and when I look at art galleries online the prices are extremely expensive but when I look at different place online they don’t seem to be as expensive. What is the difference? Is it worth it to buy the more expensive piece?

There are many sources selling poster prints of famous artist’s work. These are basically pictures of art and are not the art itself. Signed limited edition prints of high quality are more expensive than assembly line prints that cost a dime a dozen to produce. There is also a lot of marketing hype involved in pricing prints. So there are originals, original limited edition prints and there are a range of basic prints of varying quality marketed with prices that do not necessarily reflect their quality. If you have enough money you can buy an original piece of art.

With this particular artist, Warhol used print as one of his mediums and had a team of artists producing the physical bi-product of his ideas. He did not produce that much with his own hands.

As for the gallery, it depends on the venue. There are reputable galleries that specialize in top tier work of the best artists in the world. Then on the other end of the scale there are online factories that spit out cheaply made products calling themselves galleries. An upscale gallery is likely to have a physical showroom space where people can view the art in person. They deal with artists and collectors. The best of the best have prime locations. Anyone can create a website to sell a product and call it a gallery. You might have to do some research if their position on the scale is not clearly recognizable at first glance.

What would you like to see in a gallery/store?

Do you know any artist that you love? Any things that you think would be great for a new gallery or handmade by artists store?

There is an art gallery on the Hoe in Plymouth, Devon. Does anyone know the name of this gallery?

This art gallery is on the same street as a Greek restaurant and if I remember correctly, almost across the street from a fish & chip shop. Directly behind it is the harbour.

That’s not The Hoe, that area is called The Barbican.
I live in Plymouth.
There’s more than one art Gallery on the Barbican….sorry I don’t know their names!!!!!!
Maybe you’ve been looking in the wrong area? Try the Yellow pages.

What is the average amount of time people look at a painting in galleries or museums?

Posted by admin on December 30th, 2009 and filed under painting gallery | 3 Comments »

It really varies per person, depending on the artist and the audience. However, having been to a zillion gallery shows, I can say that the vast majority of the gallery viewing public views images very fast, perhaps spending under 2 minutes per painting. In other words, a shockingly short amount of time. I can’t imagine flying out to Paris and seeing the Mona Lisa, and only looking at it for a few seconds, but most people that see it do that. Then there’s the smaller percentage that really studies the paintings, and they stay substantially longer.

I am having a gallery opening and need to know some FAQ’s for the artist?

Posted by admin on December 30th, 2009 and filed under artist gallery | 7 Comments »

I get really really nervous in big crowds, especially when it has anything to do with me. People will be asking me questions about my art, but I don’t know what they will be asking. Can you help me think of some common questions so I can rehearse some good answers? )I’m an abstract painter. Thanks in advance.
Like what questions would YOU ask an artist?

What inspired you on this work? Which piece is your favorite? What does this one mean?

How, when trying to send a picture through windows photo gallery, do i change my email server?

Posted by admin on December 30th, 2009 and filed under picture gallery | 1 Comment »

I need to send multiple pics for business, and the easiest way to do that is through windows photo gallery. when i do, it automatically sends through Microsoft Office Outlook. i would prefer them be sent through Windows Mail. how do i change this?

Dear ?,

Hi, my name is Tara, and I am from the Windows Outreach Team. To send multiple images from photo gallery in one email, save your images with distinct names, as a JPG, to a file. Open your windows mail, and in the attachments option select your photo files. You should be able to send multiple images in one email from your email as attachments. You can find more details about how to use your Windows Photo Gallery here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-vista/features/photo-gallery.aspx

Cheers!
Tara
