Amazing, I’m sold, now all I have to do is decide on the paint. Are these all single stage. I was told that the hot rod flatz are designed to be painted as a single stage and that they should not be mixed with the hot rod flatz low gloss clear. Isthis true? If so and I still want to use a clear coat to preserve the paint what type of clear should I use?

Im about to purchase my hot rod flatz paint

You could use any …
You could use any basecoat color you want an use the Hot Rod Flatz clear over it. the HRF product is a single stage, but you could put the HRF clear over for added depth.

I have decided that …
I have decided that I want my car to be flat black and like “mmonteci” Asked I’d like my paint to last for a long time, if I understand correctly , I could use the original black paint for my ford, then just use the Hot Rod Flatz clear over it? I have kids around so that clear finish would really be helping a lot:) I’m also turning a large white car black so would one gallon be enough? I never did the painting just the prepping….lol
