After email yourself a picture, can you save it in your gallery on a droid?

I’m trying save a picture in my gallery on my 3g Driod phone.

I do the same thing with my phone to my iPod. I either press my finger on the picture for a couple seconds and it gives me the option to save it or I just take a screenshot. I’m not sure if droids have screenshot options but it should be the same if you just hold your finger on the image.

Is Kim R Fuka the same artist who owns Gallery In-De-Skies in Ranchester, Wyoming the child abuser?

The right question should be ‘supposed child abuser’ because the claims have not been proven in court. Despite what the locals in the area claim, the mother fled with the child and disappeared before all conclusive evidence, pro or con, could be investigated completely. So, the term ‘child abuser’ and ‘supposed child abuser’ have two different meanings in the eyes of the law.

And supposedly, in this country a person is innocent until proven guilty.

Yes, this is the same person the still unproven claims have been made against.

Do you need qualifications to work in a art gallery part-time?

I’m a student and I would like a part-time job in a art gallery but before I start searching for one I’d like to find out if you need qualifications or experience for this. I only have GCSE art and no experience. Also, if you don’t what kind of jobs can you get related to art (not necessarily in an art gallery)?

Thanks!

I believe the best way to find out is to offer your services as a volunteer, that way you will gain experience in dealing with members of the public and, more importantly, character references for applying for paid work. Take care. ‘God bless. Gladgran

hot linking image instead of the gallery images?

all right this is getting annoying. There is a site I visit frequently because it has beautiful inspirational pictures, however today they are not working. They are organized by galleries, which is fine. What usual happens is I pick a gallery based on the description, i get a gallery and I look at the pictures in order. However today when I went to the site and clicked on a gallery, instead of the gallery I got about 20 pictures of a young woman holding a sign telling me no hot linking and to go back to the main page. All the galleries are like this. Why is this happening? Is there a way around it? If not how long will it last?

There’s two possible explanations:

1. The gallery is stealing the bandwidth of the server/account were the images are stored and the owner got fed up with it and installed a block.

2. The owner of the gallery installed a block to keep other people from hotlinking and did it incorrectly.

In either case, you will have to wait for when/if the owner of the gallery finds their own hosting (explanation #1) or fixes their block (explanation #2)

To get around it, you could visit the source of the images. Right click on the image and select properties, then copy the first part of the url into your browser.

Why does windows photo gallery keep changing the colour of every picture i save?

when i save a picture from images on google and then look at it after its been downloaded and saved, windows photo gallery turns the colour really weird, like blueish and tinted and much darker. This has only happened since i installed a new printer. I used to be able to save and download a picture from google images and get the normal one there..What happened and how do i fix it?

thanks

Look at the presets on your photo gallery and see if there is some automatic processing going on when you open and then "save" your retouched images.

Does this happen on the Monitor or when you print the images.

If your printed images look differently from your monitor it usually means one of two things

* Your monitor is NOT calibrated and profiled or your printer is not profiled correctly or maybe both.

Here is how you calibrate your monitor and printer to match each other

How can I save an enlarged picture in Windows Live Photo Gallery?

I have Windows Vista & I’m trying to save a picture that I have enlarged in photo gallery. It’s an old school pic so it’s small & I don’t have the original to rescan it, I’ve borrowed it from my mate’s Facebook. Is there a way to save the bigger image, regardless of quality? Any help appreciated in advance!

This is a bad method but it does work if you do it right.
Have the enlarged image on the screen
Then press the "print screen" button
Then open up paint and paste it their
Then drag the image to the top left corner until everything around the photo disappears.
Then click outside the picture to deselect.
Then at the bottom right corner where the white goes to grey, drag the corner until it touches the edge of the picture.

If you still don’t know what to do, then don’t hesitate to send me an email and ask :)

How does art galleries promote the local artists?

the question says it all..
I know that art galleries promote local artists, but how?
(besides the exposition)

They charge us $$$ per square inch as rent. They make us sign a contract that we can not have our art in any other galleries or on our own or other’s websites. Some even require us to work for free a certain amount of time at the gallery on top of it all. And when your art finally sells you will have to give them 30% of the money you almost made.

But they are a storefront where people do go ready to buy art. And buyers know they will be quality and ready to hang as good galleries do require this.

how do artists live by making installation work and what do galleries get out of them.?

I would like some feedback on how installation enters the gallery foodchain i just dont understand how artists get picked up by private galleries to display this kind of work and how they can make a living from it. i know this sounds desperately consumer but i would like some non-judgemental education on this. thank you.

artists like this usually participate in talks and other art events, give lectures, take pictures and make videos that can be sold (all about the installation). for a gallery showing installation it’s a way to show the public you know what’s going on and you know good art, and to you it’s not all about the money. so it’s also a reputation thing. I assume your question could apply also to land art, performance and so on. maybe Christo is an example of an artist that would get this question a lot.

Artists, have you ever had a problem with an art gallery not paying you for works sold?

If so, how do you deal with it?

I realize most galleries like to hold on to there money for as long as possible, but how do you get your money? if its been 10 months? and a different country?

Unless you have something in writing like a contract, your chances of getting your money are pretty slim unfortunately for you.Especially in a different country. My thoughts are, that I hope it was not for a lot of money.10 months is way to long to wait to be paid. I would hope you have learned a big lesson here.If you do have a contract then get yourself a lawyer, depending on how much you are talking about. Just be sure it is worth it to you .

Walker Art Gallery Painting?

Can anyone help me remember the name/artist of a painting in the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool.

I can only remember that it is of a Turkish man (I think?) lying on his front reading something.

Does anyone know the name and/or artist of this painting?

Cheers.

Hi! As they only offer highlights from
their collection online, I would ask them:)
Here is their contact page:
